Founder

Though born in New York, Bruce Tolchin lived the majority of his life in Southern California, where he established himself as a highly respected businessman and a leader in the Mobile Home Community industry since the early 80’s.

A tireless traveler, Bruce would walk for miles to find places he remembered from former trips. He also loved scuba diving, and traveling through Africa to track gorillas and big cats. Bruce enjoyed good food and wine, was “obsessed” with tennis, and cherished his friends and family.

Above all, Bruce was a doer. When he realized that his life on this planet was coming to an end, Bruce resolved to keep on “doing” by bequesting a large portion of his estate to the BRT Charitable Foundation.

BRT Charitable Foundation is honored to carry on Bruce’s legacy by empowering and supporting non-profit organizations whose work focuses on environment protection, wildlife preservation, and enhancing access to education and healthcare for all.
